Public Art Commissions

Design Society, Sea World Culture & Arts Centre, Shenzhen, China
2017 - 18

As the head of the curatorial department, Carrie worked with her team, local and international designers in a public art programme which responds to the spatial environment of the building designed by Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki as well as the coastline.

The installations respond to contemporary development in creativity from responsive environment, robotic fabrication, sustainability to community design.

Carrie also initiated collaborations with sponsors such as Philips, Design Trust, and C Foundation in realising these projects.

Examples of these artists include Stickyline (Hong Kong), Achim Menges & Jan Knippers (Stuttgart, Germany), People’s Architecture Office (Beijing), Cheng Tsung Feng (Taiwan), Antony Gormley (UK).

Design Society is a cultural institution co-established by China Merchants Shekou and V&A Museum in London.
